Job Summary
The SSD Builder is responsible for examining, inspecting, and inventorying materials and finished parts to ensure conformance with product descriptions and reference materials. The role processes and assembles surgical modules, consignments, and samples in alignment with sales orders and departmental procedures. The SSD Builder collaborates with SSD Admin, internal teams, and Sales to support accurate and timely order completion.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Review stock availability and verify required materials for surgical module builds.
- Assemble surgical modules for CMF, Thoracic, Hand, and other cases, including instruments and implants, in alignment with sales representative requests and departmental standards.
- Build and assemble sets for consignments and samples, ensuring completeness and compliance.
- Generate and deliver sales orders in SAP to fulfill requests accurately and on time.
- Cross-check completed builds for accuracy, correctness, and compliance before release to Shipping and Receiving.
- Communicate effectively with SSD Admin, QA Returns, Materials Handling, Packaging, and Field Logistics to obtain materials and resolve build-related issues.
- Respond to inquiries from sales representatives, SSD Admin, and internal teams via telephone, email, or in person, providing timely and professional feedback.
- Maintain accurate documentation of builds in Wrike, SAP, and other designated systems in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance build accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Maintain SSD Build work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition, ensuring desks are locked and secured before leaving for the day.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
Two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficient user of Microsoft Office applicationsUse of SAP preferred but not requiredKnowledge of the metric systemUse of measurement equipmentHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
