Position Summary
The Lucida President will serve as the chief executive of the firm, providing overall vision, direction, and leadership to achieve both short- and long-term profitability and growth. This top-level executive role aligns the company’s mission, vision, and long-term goals with actionable strategies, driving sustainable growth, financial stability, and market leadership.
Responsible for defining and executing the firm’s strategic direction, the President leads the organization’s growth strategy, oversees mergers and acquisitions (including post-acquisition integration), and ensures operational excellence across all business functions. The role organizes leadership and staff to meet strategic goals, establishes key metrics and KPIs, and drives innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Accountable for governance, risk management, and compliance, the President ensures appropriate controls are in place to protect the organization. This role requires extensive leadership experience, proven P&L responsibility, deep industry and operational knowledge, and the ability to lead with both visionary strategy and hands-on execution. The President typically reports directly to the board of directors and may require an advanced degree.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the organization, ensuring alignment with its mission, values, and long-term objectives.
- Lead and inspire the executive team and senior managers to achieve performance goals and maintain operational excellence.
- Oversee daily operations across all business units, ensuring efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Represent the firm in external affairs, including industry events, strategic partnerships, and public relations.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning & Growth
Define and execute the firm’s long-term growth strategy, including establishing organizational goals, budgets, and action plans.Identify and pursue new market opportunities, competitive advantages, and innovative approaches to expand market share.Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring measurable progress toward growth and profitability objectives.Mergers & Acquisitions
Lead the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of M&A opportunities.Oversee comprehensive due diligence processes, addressing financial, operational, cultural, and legal considerations.Develop and manage integration plans to maximize value creation and minimize operational disruption.Monitor post-integration performance and implement improvements as needed.Operations Management
Ensure smooth operation of key business functions, including production, marketing, and sales.Implement operational best practices to improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability.Establish clear performance metrics and accountability systems for business units.Financial Stewardship
Interpret financial statements to guide decision-making and maintain the firm’s financial health.Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize capital deployment for strategic initiatives.Deliver revenue growth and profitability in line with organizational objectives.Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Clearly articulate the firm’s vision, strategies, and goals to employees, shareholders, clients, and external partners.Maintain transparent, timely, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications
Proven track record as a senior executive (President, COO, GM, or equivalent) in a growth-oriented organization, preferably within professional services.Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, operational leadership, and successful M&A execution.Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and leverage financial data.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Success Metrics
