Day to day as a Construction Administration Specialist

As a Full-Time Construction Administration Specialist at Ackerman Estvold Engineering and Consulting in Minot, North Dakota, you will play a pivotal role in the success of diverse building projects. You'll collaborate with partners, project managers, consultants, and contractors to ensure a seamless construction phase, conducting site visits and leading construction progress meetings. Your responsibilities will include performing on-site observations and inspections, reviewing project changes, and coordinating final inspections to assist in project closeout.

You will support project managers by managing construction documentation, schedules, and quality assurance reviews while also engaging in construction estimating with accurate quantity take-offs and cost evaluations. Your strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel will be utilized to meet project needs effectively. What you need to be successful

To excel as a Full-Time Construction Administration Specialist at Ackerman Estvold, a combination of education and practical experience is essential. A degree in drafting, construction management, architecture, or a related field, paired with 5+ years of project experience, will provide a strong foundation. A deep understanding of building construction and building science is critical to navigate the complexities of projects efficiently.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software are necessary, and experience with AIA Construction Documents, AutoCAD, or Revit is highly advantageous. Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional teamwork, listening, and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with partners and contractors. Furthermore, strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities are vital in a fast-paced environment.
