Construction Inspector
TalentBridge is looking for a motivated and reliable Construction Inspector who would be responsible for managing key client projects with the goal of delivering quality and cost-effective services.
Responsibilities
- Project management of construction materials testing projects.
- Testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, fireproofing, and asphalt pavement.
- Review of field reports, laboratory testing reports, and technician services.
- Managing project process, budget, and technical issues.
- Client contact and attending meetings.
- Coordination of day-to-day testing services.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field experience required.
- Previous Geotechnical or CMT experience.
- EIT or (or seeking to obtain soon) would be a plus. Alternatively, other CMT certifications will be considered.
- Understanding of soil mechanics and specialty construction testing.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and understand construction plans.
- Good driving record and valid driver's license.
- Must pass pre-employment, non-DOT drug screening.
- Clear and concise English communication skills both written and verbal.
On the Job
Work is generally Mon-Fri between : am and : pm, with some Saturday and evening work.
Preferences
- Prior testing experience with residential and commercial construction
- ICC, NICET, KDOT, or ACI Certifications.
- Prior DOT testing experience.
- Nuclear density gauge safety trained
- Experience with technical and proposal writing
Pay and Benefits
Pay is based on the level of prior experience and valid applicable certifications.
