Lead Data Engineer (Remote - US)

The Lead Data Engineer will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of data solutions supporting advertising technology, digital marketing, and analytics workflows. This role is responsible for managing data pipelines, cloud and on-prem environments, and automated processes to improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of data-driven applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, integrate third-party data, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions. The position requires hands-on technical leadership in data engineering, with a focus on high-throughput processing, robust data models, and maintaining best practices across the data lifecycle. You will also mentor team members, evaluate new technologies, and ensure alignment with strategic goals while supporting production environments and innovative proofs of concept.

Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines, storage solutions, and ETL processes for AdTech and marketing data.
• Build and manage cloud-based and on-prem environments, including containerized deployments and automation of manual processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to define data requirements, integrate APIs, and onboard third-party data.
• Lead technical design and implementation of data models, ingestion pipelines, monitoring frameworks, and high-throughput processing.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and best practices to the team, ensuring data quality, availability, and computational efficiency.
• Oversee project timelines, milestones, and quality assurance for solution implementations and production launches.
• Present insights, opportunities, and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including senior leadership.
