Overview
The Office of Global Affairs serves as the international engagement arm of Living Stones Foundation, forging institutional partnerships with universities, NGOs, governments, and multilateral agencies. It focuses on creating collaborations that empower nonprofit innovation, digital transformation, and data-driven impact across Latin America, the U.S., and Canada. Through initiatives in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and digital platforms, the office ensures that Living Stones Foundation remains at the forefront of innovation, building bridges between communities, technology, and resources for maximum global impact.
Role
Data & Technology Advisor (Volunteer). As a strategic advisor, you will lead the design and implementation of data and technology solutions that enhance Living Stones Foundation's global partnerships and programs. You will translate complex technical insights into actionable strategies, strengthen collaborations, improve project outcomes, and position Living Stones as a leader in nonprofit digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Technology & Data Leadership
- Lead the data strategy and digital innovation agenda for the Office of Global Affairs.
- Advise on the use of Big Data, AI, machine learning, and data visualization to evaluate program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
- Ensure alignment of technological initiatives with the Foundation's global mission and objectives.
- Partnerships & Institutional Agreements
- Act as a technical advisor in negotiations with universities, NGOs, and international organizations.
- Ensure that global partnerships include technology transfer, data-sharing frameworks, and innovation components.
- Represent Living Stones in technical forums, conferences, and global partnership discussions.
- Governance & Impact Evaluation
- Establish data governance policies that guarantee integrity, security, and interoperability across international projects.
- Design methodologies for impact measurement, producing actionable insights for donors, governments, and partners.
- Oversee the development of dashboards and reports to demonstrate social impact and strengthen institutional credibility.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing
- Provide guidance to analysts, junior advisors, and volunteers working in data and technology.
- Foster a culture of digital innovation and knowledge transfer across teams and partner organizations.
Requirements
Advanced background in Data Science, Technology Management, Information Systems, or related fields.Demonstrated experience in Big Data, AI / ML, data visualization, and technology-driven strategy.Strong knowledge of data governance, digital transformation, and impact measurement frameworks.Excellent ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.Interest in nonprofit innovation, social impact, and global partnerships.Preferred
Experience working with international NGOs, universities, or multilateral organizations.Familiarity with technology diplomacy, data-sharing agreements, and international compliance standards.Previous experience advising at the intersection of technology, policy, and social impact.Why Join Us?
