Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
We are actively seeking an experienced Residential Program Manager in Tempe, AZ who will lead a team to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person will support teams with day-to-day operations and challenges to achieve programmatic goals.
- This position requires being ON-CALL
Responsibilities :
Lead and train teams to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the uniqueneeds of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Manage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffedProvide training on daily routines including cleaning, cooking established meal plans, feeding,medication administration, and maintaining personal hygiene
Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performancemanagement, staff meetings, and employee recognition
Develop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculumCommunicate with the families and guardians of individuals we support as neededDevelop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP) / Person-Centered Plans (PCP) with aninterdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developments
Ensure individuals are supported per their ISP / PCP including medication management, mealplanning, and behavior management
Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timelyAssist with monitoring the finances of individuals ensuring purchases are approved andaccounted for with documentation
Monitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concernsManage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our careEnsure work locations and vehicles are clean, well maintained, and stocked with necessarysupplies including groceries, medications, and cleaning supplies
May be required to fill shifts when staffing issues ariseAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assignedEmployee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, orinvestigation
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background,central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
Minimum Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree PreferredComplete all state and agency required training per state guidelinesValid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving recordFive years of Direct Support Professional experience and / or at least three years of management experienceKnowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilitiesTeam oriented with demonstrated leadership experienceExperience with problem solving against multiple prioritiesAbility to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supportsWorking Conditions :
Work in residential programs, day programs, and in the communitySchedule may change due to business needs and may include evening and weekend hoursMay be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staffFrequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion may be requiredMay be required to transport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehiclesMay be required to lift or move 25+ poundsMay assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory individualsMay be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseasesWhy Community Options?
