As the IT Asset Management Intern
Job Description
We are looking for an IT Asset Management Intern to implement and maintain asset lifecycle information, including status, for technology-based hardware and software assets.
This position will be part -time and onsite .
What You’ll Do
Implement and maintain asset lifecycle information, including status, for technology-based hardware and software assets
Track and report on all hardware and software across a network or enterprise; monitor and report on unlicensed installations and prohibited software
Prepare reports and documentation related to software assets including license entitlements deployments, usage and compliance status
Review inventory (physical and automated) for variances with asset database records
Provide assistance and information to procurement
Intake new assets in the warehouse upon delivery and track their movement within IT
Develop and maintain IT asset management procedures and guidelines to ensure adherence to ITIL best practices
Automate IT asset management and configuration management processes using appropriate tools
Collaborate with IT project teams to ensure configuration management requirements are properly incorporated into project plans and schedules
Continuously evaluate and improve software asset management processes policies and procedures
What You'll Need
Required :
6 months post High School; Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, warehouse management or related fields
Must have junior or senior standing and be enrolled in a four-year degree program, or be enrolled in the last semester of a two-year degree program, or be enrolled in a graduate program, or be enrolled in college level coursework and have special measurable technical skills
The position requires the ability to lift 35 lbs
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis

Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
