JOB DESCRIPTION :

A Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with potential clients, conducting market research, developing sales strategies, and ultimately driving revenue growth for a company by acquiring new customers and expanding market presence; their key duties include lead generation, networking, relationship management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute new business initiatives.

JOB SUMMARY :

  • Market research and analysis : Analyze industry trends, competitor landscape, and potential market segments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Lead generation : Proactively source and qualify potential clients through various channels like networking, cold calling, email outreach, and attending industry events.
  • Relationship building : Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective clients.
  • Sales pipeline management : Create and manage a pipeline of potential new business opportunities, tracking progress through the sales cycle.
  • Proposal development : Craft compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs, highlighting the value proposition of the company's products or services.
  • Negotiation : Negotiate contract terms and pricing with potential clients to secure new business deals.
  • Customer onboarding : Facilitate smooth transition of new clients into the company and ensure successful implementation.
  • Reporting and analysis : Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools
  • Performs other duties as requested.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED :

Receives direct supervision from the Business Development Director. The position has no formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

The principal duties of this position are to perform in an indoor and outdoor environment.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY :

This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Services has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and / or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Development or Marketing, or similar.
  • Previous experience as a Business Development Specialist in a related industry.
  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, including NetSuite
  • Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
  • Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior.
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
  • Competency in negotiating and closing business deals.
  • Ability to advise on possible joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must be bilingual.
  • Must be able to travel out of town for extended periods
  • Other : Valid Drivers’ License Class C
