Summary : The Meta Reality Labs Research team brings together a world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers to create the future of virtual and augmented reality, which together will become as universal and essential as smartphones and personal computers are today.
And just as personal computers have done over the past 45 years, AR and VR will ultimately change everything about how we work, play, and connect.
We are developing all the technologies needed to enable breakthrough AR glasses and VR headsets, including optics and displays, computer vision, audio, graphics, brain-computer interface, haptic interaction, eye / hand / face / body tracking, perception science, and true telepresence.
Some of those will advance much faster than others, but they all need to happen to enable AR and VR that are so compelling that they become an integral part of our lives.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, research scientists and experience designers to advance the technical readiness of novel audio technologies.
You will focus on integrating and performance evaluation of the latest audio algorithms for AR / VR prototypes with the goal to create new experiences beyond what traditional consumer audio devices are capable of and prove their experiential value and product viability.
A successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the design, implementation and end to end verification of audio algorithms on embedded systems.
This role involves prototyping complex systems using tools such as Simulink and AudioWeaver and hands-on experience with electroacoustic measurement techniques.
You will practice good judgment and understanding of system-level impact of design choices to deliver a highest performing implementation of design concepts.
