Salary : $34,000.00 - $50,000.00 DOE

THE POSITION : High Point Christian School (HPCS) is seeking a candidate to teach our middle school Science classes and 5th grade homeroom for the upcoming 2024-25 school year! Teachers at HPCS are committed to not only the academic growth of our students, but also their spiritual growth as well.

This is achieved by prayerfully helping students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter specific to science at the middle school grade level that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

WHO WE ARE : High Point Christian School was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area.

Throughout our humble beginnings with merely 30 students, to now having over 250, our classes have always been rooted in our mission to develop students who are committed disciples of Jesus Christ through the use of an excellent, comprehensive, Biblically-integrated education program.

LOCATION : We are located on Madison's west side, near multiple businesses and residential areas. Our location also has convenient access to bus lines, the beltline, and bike trails.

SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS :

• Have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior
• Believe that the Bible is God's word and standard for faith and daily living
• Be in agreement with High Point Church's Statement of Faith and HPCS's Christian Philosophy of education
• Strive to be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions towards others

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Show evidence of Christian maturity (see spiritual expectations)
• Have a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Association of Christian School International (ACSI) teaching certification
• Have excellent written and verbal communication
• Basic understanding of computer systems and technology

BENEFITS AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :

• Salary $34,000.00 - $50,000.00; commensurate with experience
• Position as Science Teacher is considered 1.0 FTE
