Nonprofit Security Grant Program Manager - Program Planner 3
The Iowa Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Response Division, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated self-starter to join the Non-Disaster Grants and Administration Bureau. As part of our continued growth and commitment to compliance excellence, the candidate is responsible for ensuring adherence to grant regulations, policies, and procedures. Incumbent will serve as the lead Nonprofit Security Grant Program Manager.

The successful candidate will serve citizens of Iowa through timely and accurate reimbursements for works completed under federal emergency preparedness grants. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours a week and be able to work effectively in stressful situations. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team. Must be able to read, understand, and interpret federal code of regulations related to grant administration. Candidate will need to provide extensive technical assistance to applicants. Overtime may be required during times of disaster response operations.

Travel : Some travel required. This position will require a presence in the office on a regular basis. There will be a potential option for some remote work once on-boarding and training have been completed, but this is not a full-time remote work position.
Working Hours : 8 : 00 A.M. to 4 : 30 P.M., travel required in and out of state, overtime required during times of disaster, including weekends.
