About the Role

As a Sr. Counsel, M&A, you will partner closely with Uber's Corporate Development team and other legal and non-legal cross-functional teams on domestic and cross-border M&A, joint ventures, investments and other strategic transactions from NDA through post-closing integration. This is a great opportunity to work on cutting edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage, structure and negotiate strategic transactions globally
  • Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements at all stages of the transaction lifecycle, including NDAs, term sheets, definitive acquisition and other transaction agreements
  • Help develop and implement standardized processes and templates with an eye toward improving efficiency

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of M&A and corporate legal experience at a premier law firm and / or in-house
  • J.D. and license to practice law in at least one U.S. state

  • Organized and efficient with conscientious attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong academic credentials and law degree from a top law school
  • Flexible and creative problem solving skills

    • Compensation and Benefits

    For New York, NY-based roles : The base salary range for this role is USD$243,000 per year - USD$270,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles : The base salary range for this role is USD$243,000 per year - USD$270,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award and other types of compensation. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
