Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with strong Life Sciences and Medical Device / IVD documentation expertise. The ideal candidate will create, edit, and maintain clear, accurate technical documentation while supporting cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage documentation projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Write, edit, and revise clear, concise, and compliant technical documentation.
Develop and maintain documentation for internal and external use.
Manage documentation projects, track updates, and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet documentation timelines and quality standards.
Support strategy development for documentation planning, workflows, and consistency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
3-5 years of technical writing experience, specifically within Life Sciences.
Direct experience with IVD and / or Medical Devices (required).
Strong understanding of medical device regulations, standards, and governance requirements.
Proficiency with publishing tools including :
MadCap Flare (highly desired)
Microsoft Office Suite (advanced skills required)
Adobe FrameMaker (required)
Excellent documentation, grammar, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Prior experience working in a medical device organization.
Experience writing documentation for IVD products or regulated MedTech systems.
Understanding of the differences between Medical Devices and IVD products.
