Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Local Law 11 / FISP Engineer to join their team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facade inspection and repair, with a deep understanding of NYC building codes and regulations. Job Requirements :

Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Local Law 11 / FISP Engineer in New York City
Bachelor's degree Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State asset but not required
Thorough knowledge of NYC Building Code, specifically Local Law 11 and Facade Inspection Safety Program (FISP) requirements
Experience with facade inspection, assessment, and repair techniques
Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct comprehensive facade inspections in accordance with Local Law 11 / FISP guidelines

Prepare detailed inspection reports and develop repair recommendations

Collaborate with building owners, managers, and contractors to implement necessary repairs

Ensure compliance with all relevant NYC building codes and regulations

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and quality standards

Stay updated on changes in local laws and industry best practices
