Role Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Supply Chain Planning Tools Developer (Director) to lead the development, enhancement, and integration of core planning tools and systems that enable Altera's global supply, demand, and inventory planning processes.
This role will manage a team of developers, solution architects, and analysts responsible for building planning capabilities that improve data accuracy, end-to-end visibility, scenario modeling, and operational execution across the FPGA product lifecycle. You will partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable tools and drive measurable supply chain improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and deployment of advanced planning tools and systems supporting demand forecasting, supply planning, capacity and constraint modeling, and inventory optimization.
Define system requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, aligned with FPGA product and manufacturing models.
Manage global internal and external development resources : resource planning, deliverables, performance management, vendor coordination.
Integrate planning systems with enterprise platforms (ERP, MES, PLM, IBP / APS), ensuring strong data foundations and synchronization.
Oversee system releases, enhancements, analytics dashboards, automation improvements, and user support models.
Partner closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and IT to ensure effective process adoption and tool utilization.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase forecast accuracy, reduce planning cycle times, and strengthen supply chain responsiveness.
Monitor tool performance and operational metrics prepare regular updates for senior leadership regarding improvements, risks, and mitigation actions.
Champion data governance, system documentation, security, compliance, and training programs across the planning organization.
Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and accountability within the tools development organization.
Salary Range
The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.
$178,900 - $259,000 USD

Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or related field.
12+ years experience in high-tech or semiconductor supply chain systems / tools development, with 35 years in technical leadership or people management.
Strong hands-on experience with planning tool architecture and deployment (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis RapidResponse, Anaplan, Oracle, etc.).
Solid understanding of supply chain planning processes : demand planning, MRP, capacity and supply planning, inventory strategies, S&OP / IBP.
Proven ability to drive tool innovation from concept to implementation to business adoption.
Strong technical capability in systems integration, data modeling, and workflow automation (e.g., SQL, Python, APIs).
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with global cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across operations, IT, and product groups.
Excellent communication skills able to deliver clear technical and business updates to senior management.
Preferred Qualifications
Semiconductor or FPGA industry experience familiarity with wafer foundry and OSAT models, long lead-time planning, and supply risk tracking.
Experience with operational metrics and scenario planning in high-mix / low-volume environments.
Exposure to cloud-based data architectures, digital supply chain, or AI / ML for planning optimization.
Certifications in supply chain or project management (APICS, CSCP, PMP) are a plus.
