Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a qualified professional for a contract position in a K-12 educational setting located in Charleston, SC. This role focuses on providing essential munication support one-on-one to students who are Deaf or hard of hearing through the use of sign language.
Key Qualifications :
- 3.5 EIPA score preferred
- Proven experience interpreting in educational settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong understanding of various sign language systems and deaf culture
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and staff
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments and styles
