Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable company that is located in New Castle, DE. We are seeking a Staff Accountant with hands-on experience to join our accounting team. This role focuses on payroll reconciliation, accounts receivable support, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive "doer" who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a strong understanding of payroll processes and AR management.

Job Title : Staff Accountant

Location : New Castle, DE (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Salary Range : $65,000 - $70,000 annually (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities :

• Payroll Reconciliation :

Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure accuracy of payroll-related accounts.

Understand payroll processes and coordinate with outsourced payroll provider.

Accounts Receivable Support :

Manage AR functions including billing, collections, and aging analysis.

Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.

Assist with cash application and resolve discrepancies promptly.

General Accounting Duties :

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.

Support month-end close activities and assist with financial reporting.

Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting.

Provide support for audits and special projects as needed.

Qualifications :

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience :

5-10 years of accounting experience , preferably in manufacturing or related industries.

Strong background in payroll reconciliation and AR management .

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Soft Skills :

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
