Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of recent breast imaging experience and an active ARRT registration for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
Hospital-based position in the mammography departmentWork schedule is typically Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, with occasional opening / closing shifts and some Saturday mornings (8 : 00 am to 12 : 00 pm)Rotating on-call requirement every three weeks from Friday 6 : 00 pm to Saturday 12 : 00 pmExpected to perform a full range of mammography exams including screening, diagnostic, ductograms, needle localizations, specimen radiographs, and stereotactic proceduresUse of digital mammography equipment and Epic EMR systemCandidates may be required to float within the main hospital or to affiliate hospitals as neededResponsible for accurate patient identification, complete documentation, and quality control in accordance with MQSA standardsExpected to follow all safety, radiation, sterile practices, and departmental policiesWill present exams and patient information to radiologist for diagnosis and facilitate timely and high-quality patient careReturn staff must have a lapse of at least 6 months before being eligible to returnMaximum RTO allowed is 2 weeks and must be disclosed at the time of considerationNo mile radius restrictions; local candidates are accepted at the same rateModules must be completed pre-start and are documented via transcriptsScrubs or dress code details are not specifiedRequirements
Graduate of an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology programMinimum of 6 months consecutive mammography experience within the last year and at least 2 years of overall experience requiredProficient in breast imaging exams including screening, diagnostic, ductograms, breast needle localizations, specimen radiographs, and stereotactic studiesARRT (R) required with current Oregon license; ARRT (M) Mammography to be obtained within six months of hireCurrent BLS certification requiredMust meet MQSA requirements for mammographersExperience with Epic EMR requiredCOVID vaccination required for consideration, no exemptions permittedReferences from two supervisors within the last 24 months required for considerationLicense required if applicableBenefits
