Maintains assigned equipment operationalClears errors from equipment and restarts equipmentEnsures equipment has all necessary consumables loaded for operation (alloy, blocks, pads, polish, etc.
Ensures equipment is kept clean during the shiftTakes part of scheduled equipment clean upInforms management of equipment malfunctionInforms management of quality issuesInforms management of any equipment issuesKeeps area cleanHelp in other areas when neededHelps with light calibration, setup, and maintenance operations.
Records data accurately from equipment of process as requested by managementCross trains on tasks from other areas of the lab
QUALIFICATIONSEducation
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Experience in the Optical Industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses is desiredExperience working with Automated equipment, CNCs, or computers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Able and willing to work as a teamMust be able to work Overtime, Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays when neededAble to read and write English Language wellExperience or knowledge working with automated equipmentAttendance / Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time
Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to manipulate.
The employee is frequently required reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, talk or hear.
