Vice President of Finance & Administration - $140,000 - $200,000 per year
Position
The Vice President of Finance & Administration is a senior executive responsible for driving the strategic and operational success of our Human Resources, Accounting, and administrative functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP will oversee the HR Manager, Controller, and Office Manager to ensure seamless operations across all departments. This role will focus on long-term organizational growth, compliance, and maximizing efficiency, while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to organizational strategy and decision-making.
- Develop and implement company-wide policies and procedures to support operational goals and scalability.
- Provide high-level oversight of HR, accounting, and administrative functions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Supervise the HR team, ensuring compliance with all employment laws and regulations, including OSHA and ROC licensing requirements.
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute strategies for workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
- Oversee the development of competitive benefits packages, compensation structures, and training programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Maintain knowledge of HR trends and best practices, ensuring the company remains competitive in talent acquisition and management.
- Oversee the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, Arizona tax regulations, and construction-specific financial practices, such as lien waivers, job costing, and CCIP / OCIP.
- Provide leadership in audits and ensure the company meets all financial and tax obligations.
- Approve major expenditures, contracts, and vendor payments, ensuring alignment with company budgets and goals.
- Direct the Office Manager and Receptionist, ensuring seamless office operations, including vendor coordination, supply management, and facility maintenance.
- Oversee office expenses, budgets, and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Employee Engagement Committee to plan events and initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure the office environment supports productivity and aligns with company values.
- Oversee company compliance with labor laws, financial regulations, and industry‑specific requirements.
- Manage risk through insurance policies, workers' compensation, and legal compliance.
- Ensure all administrative processes meet regulatory standards for safety, quality, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).+ years of experience in senior administrative roles, with 5+ years in a leadership position.Extensive experience in the construction industry, with knowledge of job costing, lien waivers, CCIP / OCIP, certified payroll, and compliance.Proven success in managing HR, accounting, and administrative teams.Strong financial acumen, with experience using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and HRIS systems.Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
