Job Description

Support the Quality Assurance Manager and department in the maintenance of all current regulatory programs (USDA / FSIS, HACCP, BRC, SSOP, GMP, FDA, MSC, MDH).

Responsibilities

• Monitoring GMPs, HACCP and food safety, sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) and pest control for the facility.
• Meet established goals and objectives by deadlines and complete them in a thorough manner.
• Responsible for monitoring and programming critical control points (CCP).
• Responsible for monitoring and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.
• Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
• Ensure employees are following all food safety and worker safety practices.
• Ensure and educate employees about food safety and GFSI standards.
• Collect product samples for Product Development, lab retains and the laboratory when directed.
• Perform inspections on products, equipment and machinery.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, as needed.
