Join Louisville Metro Government as a Mechanic III – Heavy Equipment. This full-time, regular position involves high-skill mechanical maintenance and repair of automotive machinery within the transportation department.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhauls of engines on trucks, cars, garbage trucks, and other large equipment under general direction.
• Secure parts and components on vehicles.
• Conduct service calls in the field.
• Diagnose defects in automotive equipment.
• Correct breakdowns or problems and repair defective equipment.
• Perform related mechanical work as required.
