Position Title : Desktop Engineer

Pay Rate : W2 $40-$45 / hr (with 56 hours PTO)

Position Description

We are seeking a motivated Desktop Engineer to join our team in Vienna, VA. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and solutions to support a fast-paced technical environment. You will play a key role in troubleshooting, optimizing, and securing desktop infrastructure while applying strong engineering principles to improve system performance and reliability.

This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and grow your technical expertise in endpoint management, Windows 11, automation, and IT infrastructure engineering .

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and maintain desktop engineering solutions using industry best practices.
• Manage full project life cycle including planning, scheduling, resource management, and implementation.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows 11 and IoT environments , ensuring system stability and security.
• Support endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Group Policy Administration, and Dell Wyse Management System .
• Develop scripts and queries using PowerShell, Python, SQL, Splunk, and Windows Query Language for automation and reporting.
• Work with ServiceNow for request, incident, change, and asset management activities.
• Conduct research and implement new tools, technologies, and system enhancements to support business needs.
• Document processes, configurations, and system modifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable solutions that align with organizational goals.
