The Machine Operator 2 is responsible for operating production equipment and meeting area production goals. Duties and responsibilities include setting up and operating assigned equipment, using computers to load printer software, loading / unloading sealing and printing equipment with product and packaging material, recognizing and reacting to problems with equipment, inspecting and verifying product according to quality standards, working with Set Up Technician to resolve problems with equipment, cleaning equipment as required to ensure proper operation, breaking down scrap packages, working effectively within small teams, accurately completing scrap tickets, accurately completing daily production sheets, accurately updating hourly goal boards, maintaining production pace and standards, adhering to all safety requirements in the work area, and practicing 5Ss.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include understanding and following verbal and written instructions, basic math skills, basic mechanical skills, and basic computer skills. Education and experience requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of machine operation experience.
