As a guest advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include :
Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standardCreating a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasksEngaging with guests in a welcoming way, when they need assistance, to help solve their specific needsBeing knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experienceScanning and bagging all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practicesWorking efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracyMaking the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and eventsKnowing and speaking to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assisting with application or sign-up as neededUnderstanding and showing guests how to use Wallet and other features and offerings within the Target AppAttempting every return and following register prompts, partnering with immediate leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target's policies and proceduresPartnering with leaders as needed to de-escalate any situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target's policies and proceduresDelivering easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guestsMaintaining a clean, clutter-free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers)Stocking supplies during store open hours while being available for the guestDemonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety and complianceWorking in a safe manner at all times; complying with all safety policies, best practices, and training; reporting hazards and correcting where possibleSupporting guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintaining a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage lawsSupporting Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systemsAll other duties based on business needsWhat We Are Looking For

Accurately handle cash register operations, cash transactions, and support cash office operations as neededScan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from othersBe flexible when picking up shifts (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) to help meet store needsActively engage by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our attempts at contact.
