Shift Options :

  • Days : 3×12 (11 : 00 AM – 11 : 00 PM)
  • Nights : 3×12 (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

    • Weekly Hours : 36

    Schedule : Every other weekend + some holidays

    Overview

    Seeking experienced LPNs with Pediatric and Emergency Department experience for an acute care setting. Candidates must be skilled in IV placement, phlebotomy, and pediatric patient care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this fast-paced teaching hospital environment.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments, record vitals, and assist with exams and procedures
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered
  • Place IV lines and perform phlebotomy
  • Support physicians and RNs in providing pediatric and ED care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic (preferred)
  • Assist with patient education, coordination, and discharge processes
  • Maintain clean, well-stocked exam and treatment areas

    • Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum 2 years (ED / Peds ED experience required)
  • License : Active New York State LPN License
  • Certifications : BLS / CPR (required)
  • Charting : Epic (preferred)
  • Setting : Teaching hospital, Level I Trauma (preferred)
  • Travel Experience : Not required

    • Unit Details

  • Specialty : Pediatrics / Pediatric ED
  • Environment : Fast-paced teaching hospital with high pediatric census
  • Patient Care : Includes infants, children, and adolescents
  • Float : As needed within scope

    • Additional Information

  • Must work every other weekend and select holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Electronic Medical Record experience preferred
