DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior Director of Imaging Services, the Nursing Director for Radiology will oversee Interventional Radiology and Radiology Nursing for the Health System. This leadership role encompasses both clinical and administrative functions, including operational and financial oversight, management of clinical and technical staff, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care across the health system.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and eight or more years of relevant experience in Radiology Services, or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
Registered Nurse in the State of California
Strong hospital management experience, with progressive and in-depth expertise in patient care services. Knowledge of Radiology and Interventional Radiology operations in a hospital or medical center setting; in-depth working knowledge of appropriate professional standards for the Radiology department and team.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to foster and promote an environment for effective communication and collaborative decision making across multiple units and disciplines.
Demonstrated excellent leadership, fiscal and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management and staff from all disciplines. Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration and consistent achievement of objectives.
Strong knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes.
Strong working knowledge of Radiology and relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Nursing or other advanced degree in relevant area
Certification and / or licensure in relevant area
Current UC San Diego employee
Leadership experience within UC San Diego
Clinical experience and knowledge in Imaging and Interventional Radiology Nursing

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range : $168,800 - $341,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $80.84 - $163.41
