Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Nashville, TN 37207

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : July 14, 2025 – End : October 13, 2025)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : CDU, Main Building

Unit Details : 12 beds, 6 : 1 patient ratio, 1 Patient Care Technician per shift

Technology : IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG, bladder scanner, iMobile communication

Documentation System : Meditech EMR

Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs (tops and bottoms)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680–$1800

PCU Nurse Job Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or acute care nursing experience

Strong clinical communication and teamwork skills

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide attentive, compassionate care to Progressive Care Unit patients and their families

Conduct bedside shift reports and actively involve patients / families in care planning

Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and manage IVs and telemetry equipment

Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR system

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive clinical environment
