Managing Director
This Managing Director role is part of our broader institutional sales effort and will be responsible for driving new business, maintaining existing business and serving as the primary liaison for institutional clients and prospects. This individual will manage a sales territory of institutional entities focusing on providing investment solutions across pension, retirement, and not-for-profit asset pools. This individual will need to work collaboratively with other institutional colleagues to bring the most appropriate products and services to our client audience. The target market for this role is concentrated in the West and mostly consists of large plans / asset pools greater than $10 billion.
Responsibilities of the Role :
- Lead business development and client servicing efforts for institutional clients within your coverage territory in collaboration with institutional colleagues on Consultant Relations, Defined Contribution, and Global Liquidity sales teams as well as other Invesco business units
- Proactively build our understanding of each asset owner's organizational structure, decision-making authority, and investment priorities
- Execute on sales plans for accounts in your territory by continuously evaluating client needs, designing an organized and efficient approach to relationship management, and providing value-added services
- Establish and maintain regular communication with asset owners in your territory
- Coordinate client requests, promptly and accurately
Requirements of the Role :
10+ years of institutional sales experienceClient relationship management experienceFinancial services / investment management experience with deep knowledge of institutional ecosystem, sponsors, consultants, and competitorsStrong understanding of investment instruments and their relevance across various plan and client typesExceptional teammate, open-minded, flexible, and willing to listen to other people's opinionsAbility to navigate multiple work streams and manage competing prioritiesCreative problem-solving skillsFINRA Series 7, 24, and 63This is a remote role and will not need to comply with the workplace policy. The salary range for this position in California is $250,000-$275,000. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
