About The Position

Job Title : NICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour and Day 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required.

License : Must hold an active South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact State RN License.

Certifications : BLS, NRP required.

Must-Have :

Level IV NICU experience preferred.

Level III NICU experience may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Experience with patient ratios of 1 : 2, 1 : 3, or 1 : 4 depending on acuity.

Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.

Willingness to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and participate in holiday rotation.

Description :

The role involves providing individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients.

Registered Nurses deliver safe and effective care while interacting with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.

The unit provides care to premature and sick neonates, with diagnoses including prematurity and respiratory distress.

In addition to respiratory and nutritional support, the unit offers ECMO / CRRT and surgical support.

Pediatric Palliative care is available as needed.

All beds are monitored.

Travelers should be aware of the hurricane season and may be assigned to emergency response teams.

Clinical PASS candidates with 7 days or less of non-holiday RTO may qualify for auto-offers.

Travelers must comply with pre-start requirements and have no time off planned that could delay the start date.

Candidates may be considered local only on a case-by-case basis.

Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the system for one year before returning.

Candidates must provide proof of having applied for a South Carolina license if it is pending.

Completion of required modules is included in the hours, and all modules must be completed before starting.
