Job Summary :
Emerald Healthcare Lancaster is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the upkeep and functionality of our skilled nursing facility. This key role involves managing a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Responsibilities :
Leadership and Supervision : Lead, train, and manage the maintenance team, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Facility Maintenance : Oversee and coordinate all facility maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
Safety and Compliance : Ensure the facility adheres to local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards, building codes, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
Budget Management : Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including purchasing supplies and equipment. Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Emergency Response : Respond to and manage emergency maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system failures.
Vendor Coordination : Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance. Obtain and review bids, oversee contracts, and ensure quality of work.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Prepare regular reports on facility conditions, maintenance issues, and budgetary matters.
Resident and Staff Support : Address maintenance-related concerns from residents and staff promptly and professionally. Ensure minimal disruption to residents’ daily routines.
Equipment Management : Oversee the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems. Ensure all tools and machinery are in good working order.
Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification in maintenance management or a related field preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance, with 2 or more years in a supervisory role preferred. Experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare facility is highly desirable.
Skills : Strong leadership and organizational skills. Proficiency in building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC), safety regulations, and maintenance management software. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus.
