Network Technician

We are seeking a Network Technician to join our team in support of the PHNSY Contract.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, providing support for network connectivity across multiple sites.
• Perform IOS upgrades for routers, switches, and ASAs, assisting with failure repairs as needed.
• Provide after-hours and weekend support as required, with flexible work hours during the week based on outage responses occurring outside of normal working hours.
• Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software and network device configurations, ensuring optimization, patching, security, and accurate documentation of associated drawings and diagrams.
• Maintain auditable records of system and configuration changes to ensure compliance and traceability.
• Draft daily, weekly, and monthly reports on network activities and performance.
• Demonstrate Security+ level experience and a willingness to learn site-specific procedures.
• Document actions and procedures using Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
• Perform 90% of duties in the field, interfacing directly with customers in the workplace.

This is a full time, salaried, exempt position.

Salary is $70K – $90K DOE.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Security+ Certification.
• CCNA Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Relevant experience in network administration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to document actions and procedures effectively using Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
• Willingness to learn site-specific procedures and adapt to varying network environments.
• Ability to travel to shops and shipyard drydock areas for fieldwork.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interface directly with customers in the workplace.
• Flexible availability to provide after-hours and weekend support as needed.
• Must have a “Secret” level security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
