Primary Responsibilities
DFWPMA of Corpus Christi is seeking a Family Medicine Physician
Within the same office the candidate will be surrounded with behavioral health support ( Psychiatry Child & Adult) , Psychology Testing , & Licensed Therapist.
- Patient Consultations : Conduct thorough patient consultations, taking detailed medical histories, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and assessing patients' overall health status.
- Diagnosis and Treatment : Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribing medications, therapies, and other interventions as necessary.
- Preventive Care : Implement preventive healthcare strategies, including routine screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling, to promote disease prevention and early detection.
- Chronic Disease Management : Manage patients with chronic conditions, develop personalized care plans, monitor disease progression, and adjust treatment regimens as needed to improve patient outcomes.
- Health Promotion and Education : Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices, disease management, and self-care practices to empower them to actively participate in their healthcare.
- Referrals and Coordination : Collaborate with specialists and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient referrals, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for complex medical cases.
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) : Document all patient interactions, assessments, treatments, and care plans accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Health Advocacy : Advocate for patients' healthcare needs, ensuring that they receive appropriate and timely medical services and resources.
- Continuity of Care : Establish and maintain strong doctor-patient relationships, providing ongoing care, follow-up, and support as needed.
- Quality Improvement : Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adherence to evidence-based guidelines, and clinical audits to enhance patient safety and care standards.
- Professional Development : Stay abreast of medical advancements, research, and best practices to continuously improve medical knowledge and clinical skills.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience :
Completion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school and Texas State.Licensed to practice as a Physician / MD in Texas.Complete a residency program in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine.Current Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Infection Control Training with a strong understanding of HIPAA Compliance.Valid DEA Registration.Experience in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Strong candidates will work well with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and allied health professionalsHas an interest in working for a growth-oriented total care healthcare organization that prioritizes the whole patient.Benefits (Full-Time) :
