2nd Shift Hone & Lap Operator

Required Skills & Experience

• 0-5 years’ experience in Hone Lap and Grind environment
• Knowledge of proper mandrels, stones, speeds, strokes, abrasive paper, laps, and abrasive compounds to achieve Blueprint and method of operation requirements
• Ability to correct such conditions as taper, bell mouth, and “barrel” in through and blind holes
• High School diploma or equivalent

Job Description

An aerospace company is looking for Level 1 - Level 3 Hone & Lap Operators who will set-up and perform necessary hone or lap on inside and / or outside diameters of various precision parts using honing and lapping machines and materials. They will study blueprints, work orders, and / or machining instructions to determine product dimensions, diameters, and tooling. Additionally, they will observe and adjust machine operation.

Pay Range : $21.00 - $27.00 / hr
