Responsibilities Work in a Level 3 or 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within a short-term acute care hospital Patient population includes critically ill neonates and newborns requiring advanced care Expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 3 Position requires floating between NICU and other units or affiliate hospitals based on skill set and facility needs Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00 Variable and rotating weekend shifts required On-call standby may be required when not scheduled on the unit Epic electronic medical record system is used and prior experience is required Role includes leadership responsibilities and managing NICU workflow as a Charge RN Expect to float between nearby sister facilities including Milwaukie, Newberg, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent based on patient census and skill set Hotel accommodation and mileage reimbursement provided for consecutive floating shifts to Seaside Must commit to working at least 3 out of the 5 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Scrub attire is any color; specialty areas may provide specific attire Pre-assignment online modules required prior to start and annually First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements Active OR RN license, or eligibility to obtain prior to start Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience, Level 3 or 4 required Experience as a NICU Charge RN and in delivery / resuscitation required Epic charting experience required Must provide two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel status eligibility Former permanent staff must have a 3 month gap before returning as a traveler Must have access to a personal vehicle for assignment Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-631086.
