Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Patient Financial Service Team Lead who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Team Lead, Patient Financial Service you will :
Gathers information from patients, clients / family members, client clinical areas, government agencies, employers, third party payers and / or medical payment programs.
Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations, complete appropriate forms, conduct evaluations, determine benefits and eligibility, determine financial responsibility and / or to identify sources of payment for services.
- Requests, inputs, verify, and modifies patient’s demographic, primary care provider, and payer information.
- Provides excellent customer service and timely response to questions and issues related to benefits, billing, claims, payments, etc.
- Works with Claims and Collections in order to assist patients and their families with billing and payment activities in order to increase cash flow.
- Utilizes various databases to understand revenue cycle activities including eligibility verifications, pre-authorizations, medical necessity, review / updating of patient accounts, etc.
- Reviews contracts and ensures that accounts are adjusted and / or paid correctly.
Qualifications include :
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare environment in billing
Work Schedule :
Monday - Friday 8am-4 : 30pm or 8 : 30-5pm

Tobacco and Drug Statement
Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue.
