Harperone Group Publicity Internship

The HarperOne Group is comprised of up four imprints : HarperOne; Amistad, HarperVia, and Harper Espaol, Together the HarperOne Group publishes books that represent a broad and diverse collection of voices, cultures, and perspectives and shares a commitment to publishing books that matter, enlighten, and entertain.

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and detail-oriented intern for the publicity team. The ideal candidate is curious to learn about earned media and event planning and will be an active participant in various aspects of bringing our books to the attention of consumers. The candidate must be highly organized, an excellent writer and communicator, work under pressure and on deadlines, and able to work independently and with others.

The position reports to the director of publicity, but with an opportunity to work with and learn from all department members.

Responsibilities

• Draft press releases, pitch letters, promotional materials
• Research media outlets and generate media contact lists
• Coordinate publicity mailings for book campaigns.
• Administrative tasks include book mailings, updating the publicity database, updating author schedules
• Helping create booking catalog
