THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to support the Naval Special Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWC-PD) in Norfolk, VA . The Technician will provide full-time onsite contracted support to NSWCPD.
This position is associated with an upcoming contract that THOR is pursuing, with an expected start in early January 2026. We are conducting preliminary, “contingent” hiring for roles associated with this contract. The work start is dependent upon THOR being awarded this contract.
Typical Responsibilities : May include (but are not limited to) the following actions :

Location : Primarily onsite at THOR Local office in Norfolk, VA.
Travel : Up to 25% travel anticipated, for 1-2 week durations, to CONUS and OCONUS locations including : Philadelphia, PA, Beloit, WI, Detroit, MI, Peoria, IL, Washington DC, Norfolk, VA, Mayport, FL, San Diego, CA, Everett, WA, Pearl Harbor, HI, Bahrain, Sasebo, Japan, Yokosuka, Japan, Singapore, and various Naval facilities and ship new construction yard facilities.
Typical Physical Activity : Primarily desk / computer work in an office environment. May involve : repetitive motion. Periodic visits to waterfront / shipboard environments. May involve : traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.
US Citizenship Required : Due to the requirements of the federal contract that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9 / E-Verify at the start of employment.
