Overview
Atlanta's leading caterer, Proof of the Pudding, is seeking additional Warehouse Associates to join the Off-Premise Catering team headquartered from the corporate office in West Midtown Atlanta. Warehouse Associates are responsible for a wide range of tasks to help ensure efficient overall operations of the changing event logistics and business needs. Work assignments and tasks can change on a daily basis based on the immediate needs of the event calendar but typically include picking and packing equipment onto trucks according to pack-lists and assisting with the organization and inventory of equipment, décor, and product. The ideal candidate has experience working in a warehouse setting, enjoys being a team player, and is highly organized.
Responsibilities
- Transfers of products and / or merchandise to and from the warehouse
- Receive products and merchandise, check for quality and damages, and store delivered items properly
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Assist with pulling and packing equipment for events, unpacking and organizing equipment returned to the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks, transfer equipment between outlets, and make deliveries or drive to events when needed
- Clean and organize the warehouse, china room, and dish room
- Assist warehouse leads with equipment and inventory control
- Process requests for supplies, prepare merchandise for delivery, and prepare packages for shipping according to procedures
- Pre- and post-event set-up / break down responsibilities
- Ensure security of company assets
Education and / or Experience
Experience working in a warehouse is necessary; experience in food & beverage or the hospitality industry is preferredKnowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practicesAbility to pass a background and DOT certification testMust be available for a variety of shift times (nights and weekends are needed); flexible schedules availableSpecialized Qualifications

This position will work out of the corporate office located in West Midtown with the Off-Premise Catering team. The role involves moving throughout the warehouse, lifting, carrying, arranging, cleaning, and organizing equipment. There may be opportunities to drive box trucks and travel to Atlanta area events as needed.
