The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis and providing general business support for a portfolio of properties. They will work closely with other members of the accounting team as well as Asset Management, Property Management and our JV partners.
Responsibilities :
Prepare monthly income tax and or GAAP based financial statements with analysis of actual to budget variancesPrepare monthly property reports encompassing data from Legal, Construction and Operations teamsResponsible for lender debt complianceOperating account, mortgage and escrow reconciliations on assigned propertiesMaintain the general ledgers on assigned assetAssist in preparation of annual budgetsContinuous interaction with Leasing Representatives and Property Managers on assigned propertiesCollaborate with outside auditors to complete annual audits and tax returnsAct as a liaison between other departments and offices by answering inquiriesPrepare year end CAM and Real Estate Tax escalation calculations and billingsSpecial projects as required : due diligence on acquisitions, property set-up on acquisitions, new property software programs, etc.Soft Skills / Behaviors :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting3-5 years of accounting experience. Public accounting experience a plus!Minimum of 1-2 years of prior Real Estate industry experienceStrong excel skills is a MUSTMRI or Yardi Experience is a plusThe expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $105,000. The actual compensation will be based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, market and business considerations and other factors permitted by law.
