Responsibilities Position is in a 31-bed emergency room within an acute care hospital setting Patient ratios are 1 : 3-4 Care for a diverse patient population including adult and pediatric emergency cases, trauma, cardiac, stroke, high risk OB, and behavioral health holds Utilizes GE Lifepacks for telemetry monitoring Ventilator models used include Puritan Benette 840, Dreager, Vision Bipap, and V60s Cerner EMR is used; prior Cerner experience is preferred but not required 12-hour shifts with varied start times including days, mids, and nights; flexibility with start time is required Every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays required Floating required between nearby ER locations (within 7 miles) Floor-specific orientation provided over 2-3 days Responsibilities include emergency care for a broad range of acute conditions such as MVAs, GSWs, strokes, cardiac events, OB emergencies, pediatric cases, and behavioral health Team structure includes charge nurse, unit secretary, paramedics, CNAs, 2–6 physicians, and 2–4 midlevels per shift 24 / 7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy available, with ER pharmacist support during weekdays Must wear navy scrubs as dress code Orientation includes a simulation lab and floor orientation Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 major holidays in the holiday season Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent ER / trauma experience required Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) required Moderate conscious sedation competency must be demonstrated Pass / Fail simulation lab and sterile technique testing required on day 1 of orientation Must pass the Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam prior to acceptance, with a maximum of 2 attempts Two professional references required : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Candidates who have held full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity in the past year are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618430.
