Position Summary :
As a Medical Assistant, you will support providers in our office settings by taking on various roles, handling both administrative and clinical duties. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and superior customer service skills will be key in providing quality patient care and enhancing office productivity.
Education / Certification :
High school diploma or equivalentCompleted a Medical Assistant Program, certification / registration as a Medical Assistant, or 5+ years of experience in a similar role in lieu of registration5+ years of experience as a Nurse Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant with at least 1 year of experienceExperience : Previous medical facility experience preferred.

Comfortable in a fast-paced, confidential medical environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of safety hazards and precautionsAbility to maintain effective working relationships with patients and staffReliable transportation and ability to float to other locations as neededStrong computer and keyboarding skillsEssential Duties and Responsibilities :

Greet patients and prepare them for examination.Keep patient charts current per established requirements.Document medication samples dispensed.Oversee vaccine programs according to state guidelines.Restock supplies and prepare exam rooms.Maintain inventory of medical supplies.Report equipment malfunctions and maintain cleanliness of instruments.Assist providers with office surgical procedures.Perform EKG and Spirometry as ordered.Communicate lab results and follow up with patients as directed.Process prescription refill requests in accordance with office protocol.Prepare specimens for lab testing.Instruct patients on urine specimen collection.Check and dispose of expired medications monthly.Obtain pre-certifications and arrange referrals as needed.Maintain an organized work area and document compliance with regulations.Participate in care team collaborations.Float to other offices and perform additional duties as needed.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
