Sr Engineer Central Engineering, Steam Plant Reliability Engineering Rotating Equipment

Required Education / Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8 years of applicable engineering work experience or

Master's Degree in Engineering and 6 years of applicable engineering work experience.

Relevant Work Experience

Exhibit a thorough understanding of plant design, construction, operations, maintenance, and analysis in the utility industry, oil & gas industry, required.

Ability to write specifications and standards and coordinate engineering projects and assignments, required.

Proficient in engineering design and principles for rotating equipment, including pumps, turbines, and generators, required.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Projects), required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel on all levels, required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and sub-projects concurrently, required.

Supervisory experience of professional and union employees, preferred

Hands-on experience in operations and maintenance of rotating equipment, preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

Driver's License Required

Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred

Physical Demands

Ability to respond to system emergencies

Perform heavy manual labor, i.e. push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs

Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)

Stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for the duration of the workday

Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses

Additional Physical Demands

Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.

Must be willing and able to make the required visits to power plants and commercial facilities.

Must be willing to work in a generating plant environment.
