Job Summary and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities :
Provide care to patients of all ages, demonstrating the necessary knowledge and skills.Perform general diagnostic radiography and operate digital equipment competently.Utilize RIS and Meditech for exam scheduling, patient tracking, and proper exam completion.Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.Respond to urgent exam requests for inpatients efficiently.Identify and address image artifacts, maintaining clean image detectors.Collect patient history and assist radiologists in procedures to ensure patient comfort.Report any equipment issues requiring maintenance to the supervisor.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including exam rooms and mobile equipment.Support the mission and vision of Methodist Healthcare System through commitment to our objectives.Follow all safety policies, report unsafe conditions, and comply with the Code of Conduct.Complete additional duties as assigned.Qualifications :
Education : Must hold a Certificate in Radiologic Technology or an Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.Experience : No prior experience required, but hospital experience with digital radiology and PACS is preferred.Licenses / Certifications : Must maintain Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from the Texas Medical Board and obtain ARRT certification within six months of hire.Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant is nationally recognized for its outstanding transplant programs and is a full-service hospital with over 260 beds, specializing in various healthcare services.
