Machine Operator
Shift : 3rd shift Sun.-Thur. 12am-8am
- note that this position will train on 1st shift (Mon.-Fri. 8am-4pm) for 4-6 weeks.
Starting pay is $18 / hr. and will move to $19.75 once trained and on 3rd shift
This is a Temp-to-Hire Opportunity that offers full benefits once converted to a full-time employee!GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :
Performs functions to operate the stranders and bunchers to twist various gauge size stem packs or reels of wire into flexible electrical conductor as required to meet production schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for properly setting up and stringing up the stranders and bunchers.Responsible for operating the stranders and bunchers to twist copper or insulated wire to the required dimensions at the proper machine speed to produce reels of flexible electrical conductor in various gauge sizes.Responsible for staging stem packs and reels of wire, placing them in the pay off and pressure welding the wires together to setup the machines and maintain continuous production operation.Responsible for proper machinery setup, staging and placement of empty reels and stems.Responsible for removing completed reels from the stranders and bunchers and preparing them for the next process.Responsible for quality of wire produced at the bunchers and stranders.Responsible for periodic checks to maintain the quality of the wire.Responsible for stranding and bunching dies necessary to run production.Responsible for completing scheduled production and logging downtime in the OHM system.Responsible for housekeeping in assigned work area.Other duties as assigned.SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Ability to work assigned shift and overtime.Ability to lift 50 lbs. and pull wire with 50 lbs. of force.Ability to pull, bend, stoop, stretch and reach as necessary to string up the strander or buncher.Ability to operate various powered industrial material handling equipment.Apply Today if you meet these requirements!
