Position Details Title Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing Appointment Status Non-Tenure Track Department IU Southeast School of Nursing Location Southeast Position Summary Indiana University Southeast, one of eight campuses of Indiana University, is seeking dynamic and innovative educators to fill a faculty position in the School of Nursing.

Located in historic New Albany, Indiana, our beautiful 180-acre campus is only 10 minutes from vibrant, downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

IU Southeast serves students enrolled in more than 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

IU Southeast is a student centered campus and a community engaged campus where faculty and students enjoy a small college environment alongside the many benefits of being connected to the larger, nationally ranked IU School of Nursing.

Baccalaureate undergraduate and RN-BSN programs at IU Southeast have an outstanding reputation in the region and are accredited by the CCNE through 2030.

Graduate programs in nursing leadership and nursing education were recently approved and began in fall of 2017 with initial CCNE accreditation in 2020.

We invite applications for Clinical Assistant Professor for which an earned MSN and ability to be licensed as a registered nurse in Indiana are required.

Recent and ongoing critical care and medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Preferred candidates will also possess a record of collegiality, innovation and creative teaching initiatives in time of change and growth.

Required Qualifications :

A master’s degree in nursing.

In all cases 18 graduate credit hours in nursing is required.

Evidence of eligibility for licensure in Indiana.

Minimum of 3 years of practice as a registered nurse (RN).

Prepared to teach assigned courses (didactic, clinical laboratory, and / or clinical setting).

Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.

Demonstrated ability to work in a professional and collaborative team environment.

Demonstrated understanding of the value of diversity of faculty, staff and students in an academic setting.

Experience as a nursing educator as well as certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) considered a plus.

Academic classroom experience strongly preferred.
