Senior Manager – Statistical Innovation in Pharmaceutical Development

A global healthcare company is seeking a Senior Manager, Statistical Sciences to join its Pharmaceutical Development team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced statistician to work on cutting-edge programs across drug formulation, analytical development, and assay validation—helping to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective medicines reach patients.
Your Role at a Glance
As a senior statistical expert, you’ll lead the design and analysis of laboratory, manufacturing, and validation studies for a wide range of therapeutics—from small molecules and biologics to novel therapies like cell and gene treatments. You’ll work in close collaboration with scientists, engineers, and regulatory teams to turn data into decisions that matter. You’ll also contribute to biomarker and clinical assay development efforts, applying your skills to some of the most innovative science in the industry.
What You’ll Do
- Lead statistical support for drug development activities related to Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC).
- Partner with laboratory and analytical teams to guide study design, data analysis, and interpretation for drug formulation and manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to the development and validation of assays used in clinical and biomarker applications.
- Apply frequentist, Bayesian, and machine learning methodologies as appropriate for complex or non-traditional datasets.
- Serve as the primary statistical advisor on multidisciplinary teams and ensure analyses are aligned with scientific and regulatory expectations.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses from data wrangling to reporting, ensuring clarity, reproducibility, and insight at every step.
- Share learnings internally and externally through presentations, publications, and professional conferences.
- Stay abreast of evolving best practices, regulatory requirements, and analytical innovations relevant to pharmaceutical statistics.
What You Bring
Education :PhD in Biostatistics, Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline with 3+ years of experienceOR Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant industry experienceDeep expertise in the application of statistics to pharmaceutical or life science data, particularly in the context of CMC or assay validation.Proficiency in statistical computing using R, Python, or comparable programming environments.Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain complex analyses to non-statistical stakeholders.Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FDA, EMA, ICH) for analytical and manufacturing development is preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.Ability to manage multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.Work Structure

Compensation & Benefits Overview
