Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to understand technical constraints, and develop, communicate, and track against realistic plans to ship bug fixes and improve engineering fundamentals (availability, accessibility, and security) in well-loved parts of GitHub.
- Coordinate with engineering leadership, customer support, and other teams to define and prioritize projects that help us meet business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with GitHub software development best practices and industry standards.
- Required qualifications.
- 6+ years’ experience writing production grade Rails, especially along with React.
- Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining distributed systems.
- Experience in testing, production system monitoring, and observability.
- Preferred qualifications
- Strong customer focus and data driven approach.
- Track record of strong analytical skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written
- Passionate about fostering good engineering practices and processes.
- Experience effectively contributing to technical strategy and roadmaps.
- Candidates should have excellent debugging and communication skills.
