Job description

Position Summary

Vivacity Perfusion is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team as a Pediatric ECMO Specialist . This unique role is designed for individuals who are either already trained in pediatric ECMO or are willing to undergo specialized training to become experts in the field. Unlike traditional clinical positions, this role is exclusively dedicated to ECMO patient care, without the requirement to float between standard nursing or respiratory therapy duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous monitoring, assessment, and care for pediatric patients on ECMO support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ECMO circuits and related equipment.
  • Document patient progress and interventions in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to remain current with pediatric ECMO best practices.

Qualifications

  • Current RN, RRT, or Perfusionist license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Prior ECMO experience preferred; willingness to train into pediatric ECMO specialization required.
  • Strong critical care background (PICU / NICU preferred).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
